On the afternoon of April 4 th , 2020, I received an e-mail from a former resident, Jeff Young, who is
now President of Home Snack Foods in Noblesville, Indiana. Jeff is a graduate of Wabash High School
class of 1984 and was reaching out to see if his former hometown could use some Awesome Granola
cereal in bags to distribute to the community. I immediately contacted him back and told him that we
would happily accept the donation for benefit of our community!
I contacted Board members of Lighthouse Mission to see if they would be able to get this product out
to the community, and also Wabash City Schools food service to see if it could be included in the meals
that are being distributed in the community twice a week. Both organizations readily agreed to accept
the Awesome Granola cereal to get it to those members of the community.
This cereal is a No-Nut Granola produced in a Peanut/Tree-Nut Free facility in Fargo, North Dakota.
This will allow it to be distributed to everyone in the community including those with nut allergies. The
pallets of Awesome Granola Cereal were delivered to the Wabash Street Department just before 12
Noon today, and Street Superintendent Scott Richardson and I delivered it to both Wabash High/Middle
School and Lighthouse Mission before 1:00 PM today.
I cannot thank Home Snack Foods enough for this donation to our community! Home Snack Foods
distributes Grab n Go Pouches of Awesome Granola locally at Poole’s Meat Market. Check out
Awesome Granola on Facebook, like their page and thank Jeff Young and his team for their generosity!
