Delores Mae Sorrell, 85, Marion, passed away at 3:48 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018, at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion. She was born in Converse on September 20, 1933, to the late Ed and Hazel (Dodson) Draper. In 1949, she married her loving husband, Jack Sorrell, and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2017.
Delores was a homemaker throughout her life and loved to crochet/knit blankets, read, and work crossword puzzles. She was always very friendly to anyone she met and enjoyed making conversation.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Barry) Harris, Marion, Anderson (Patty) Sorrell, Fowlerton, and Macheal Sorrell, Marion; 3 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Jackie Thompson; grandson, Jason Thompson; and granddaughter, Kelly Jo Sorrell.
In accordance with Delores’ wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
