From the Wabash County Court Services

WABASH COUNTY – In light of the declaration of COVID-19 ( aka Coronavirus) as a National Emergency, Wabash County Court Services will be implementing strategies to slow the spread of infection. Social distancing measures will be effective Monday March 16, 2020 and will remain in effect until such time it is determined that the major threat to contamination has passed. All efforts will be made to limit the interaction of staff and clients with one another.

We will attempt to limit office visits to only those critical in nature. Clients please contact your supervising officer prior to your next scheduled appointment to determine your status. Please do not hesitate to contact your officer if you need help or have concerns. If you believe your phone number is inaccurate in our records please contact your officer.

If you are required to report for appointments please DO NOT bring any other party with you. Only you will be permitted in the building. The same goes for any court proceedings- only the person a party to the case will be permitted into the COURTHOUSE. Video conferencing will be used whenever possible.

Please know staff will be required to wear gloves when handling any payment or other documents. Payments can be made online at www.govpaynow.com-if you are required to make payments during the response time for COVID-19 please make payments on-line or via telephone whenever possible.

We also want you to know the office waiting area and other common areas that are high potential for contamination will be cleaned twice daily or following any direct contact.

Please continue to call for drug screening as previously directed. Exercise social distancing strategies when reporting for screens by staying 6 feet or more away from other clients, covering any cough or sneeze, and washing you hands.

Until further notice there will be NO visitation for Work Release.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this trying time.

We will continue to make changes as necessary to protect our clients, staff and the public, while focusing on providing justice and public safety measures in service of Wabash County.

Thank you

Sarah Lochner
Director of Court Services
