Jon David Montague, 53, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 2:50 am, Friday, July 6, 2018 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. He was born October 20, 1964 in Bremen, Indiana to David and Zelma (Reed) Montague.
Jon was a 1983 graduate of Southwood High School. He retired in 2007, as a Sergeant First Class from the United States Army, after 24 years. He was a member of the Wabash YMCA. Jon enjoyed sports of all kinds, reading, and listening to music..
He is survived by his mother, Zelma Montague of Wabash; brothers and sisters, Robert Montague of Wabash, Rebecca (Rob) Dunnuck of Akron, Indiana, Rachel Parton of Newport News, Virginia, Michael Montague of Logansport, Indiana, Leah (Brian) Wilson of Peru, Indiana, and Cheryl (Jeremy) Christian of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, David Montague.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9-10 am Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society.
