Wabash Woman Sentenced to 25 years in Indiana Department of Correction for Attempted Murder

WABASH, Ind. – On May 7, 2018, Christina Bowman, 51, Wabash, was convicted of Attempted Murder as a Level 1 Felony and sentenced to 25 years in the Indiana Department of Correction with 5 years suspended.

The allegations in the case were that on the morning of December 23, 2016, Ms. Bowman drove to the residence of her ex-boyfriend Keith Shepherd, located on North Allen Street in Wabash, entered his residence, and shot him in the face with a .380 caliber handgun that she had purchased eight days before. Ms. Bowman fled the scene and was later apprehended at her residence on Sunset Drive after she had inflicted injuries on herself.

Wabash County Prosecutor William C. Hartley Jr. represented the State of Indiana and the Defendant was represented by Attorney Mark Small of Indianapolis.
