Maconaquah student registration due July 31

BUNKER HILL, IN- Maconaquah School Corporation would like to remind parents that registration for the 2024-25 school year closes this upcoming Wednesday, July 31st. Please access the online registration from the school corporation website under the Registration tab. It is best to register using a computer, not a phone or tablet. If you require technical assistance, please contact the technology department at 765-689-9131, ext 5999 for help. 

Once you fully register your students, student schedules and teacher assignments will be available Monday, July 29th at 8 AM through Skyward.  This is a change from previous years in an effort to make sure schedules are accurate to meet the student’s needs.

Bus Transportation:

They ask that all parents register students as soon as possible to give the transportation department time to route buses.  Bus route information will not be available until August 2nd. Bus Drivers will start making contact with families August 5th and 6th.

Attention Pipe Creek Parents (Preschool-1st Grade):

Pipe Creek Elementary will operate on a new time schedule for the 2024-2025 school year, and this will not impact the other three schools.

Drop-Off:

7:50 am – Doors open for student drop-off. Car riders should be delivered to the front entrance. Parents should pull up to the circle to unload students and should not leave their cars. Students must exit the car on the passenger’s side, NOT the driver’s side. The half circle near the front doors is for drop-and-go only.  Parents wishing to walk with their children to the front doors can park in the front parking lot near US 31.

8:00 am – Students must be in class or they will be considered tardy. If your child arrives at 8:00 am or after, parents/guardians will need to sign in their student at the front office.

Pick-Up:

2:45 pm – Student Bus Dismissal

2:45 pm – Student Pick up Dismissal (car riders)

Early Childhood Center:

If you or someone you know is looking for child care, spots are still available for infants and two-year-olds at the Pipe Creek Early Learning Center. Please contact the Director, Angela Johnson (765) 689-9131 x. 2635 for more information, or apply online.  The Early Childhood Center hours will be 6:30 AM – 5 PM.

The first day of school is August 7th.

2024 Wabash County Festivals Queen and Court announced

WABASH, IN- Ella Satterthwaite was crowned the 2024 Wabash County Festivals Scholarship Queen. at the 34th Wabash County Festivals Scholarship Pageant, held at the Eagles Theater last Friday night. Ella is the daughter of Chad and Angela Satterthwaite. She is a 2022 graduate of Northfield High School and attends IU Kokomo.
1st Runner up is Myra Walker daughter of Tim and Angela Middlekauff and George Walker. Myra is a 2024 graduate of North Manchester High School and will be a student at Huntington University. 2nd Runner up is Mahayla “Haylie” Krom, daughter of Andrew and Nikki Krom. Mahayla is a 2024 graduate of Manchester High School and will be a student at Huntington University. 3rd Runner up is Eden Hoover, daughter of Tony and Krista Hoover. Eden is a 2024 graduate of Northfield High School, and will be a student at IU Bloomington.
Directors Award Winner is Macie Overlander, daughter of Shannon Overlander and Emily Overlander. Macie is a senior at Northfield High School. Miss Friendship is Ella Clifford, daughter of Melissa Clifford. Ella is a 2023 graduate of Manchester High School and is a student at Indiana State University.
Ella will represent Wabash County at the Indiana State Festivals Pageant in Greenfield, Indiana, on Saturday, November 9.
