Gary Carl Keene, 77, of Marion, passed away at 5:36 am on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Aperion Care in Marion. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, December 22, 1948, to Charles and Marcella Keene.
He graduated from Mississinewa High School and spent his life working as a brick mason, following in his father’s footsteps. Cathy and Gary grew up together and were always by each other’s side. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his brother, Michael “Mike” Keene of Kentucky; daughters, Sherri and Jennifer; and cousins, Cathy (Ted) Wiley of Jonesboro and Susan (Joel) Cakun.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marcella Keene; and brother, James Keene.
At Gary’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
