Adam Stephen Poe, 33, of Roann, Indiana, died at 6:03 am, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on September 10, 1991, in Huntington, Indiana, to John and Sonia (Sturgill) Poe.
Adam worked at Metal Source in Wabash. He enjoyed playing video games, collecting basketball and baseball cards, and enjoyed watching his niece and nephew play ball, where he never missed a game. His daughter, Rihanna, meant everything to him, his passion was spending time with her, fishing, golfing, and playing games.
He is survived by his daughter, Rihanna Poe of Roann, mother, Sonia Poe of Roann, brother, Brandon (Brittany) Poe, niece, Lillyan Poe, and nephew, Brayden Poe, all of Wabash, uncle, Billy (Rana) Sturgill, Jr. of Peru, Indiana, and aunt, Ruth Sturgill of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Bill Sturgill Sr., Molly Swift, Cecil and Carrie Poe; aunts, Robin Stanton and Sandy Gagnon; and cousin Andrew Barton.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
