Anna Belle Goffinet, 100, Alexandria, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at home in Alexandria. She was born in Stephensport, Kentucky, on Saturday, September 20, 1924, to William and Mattie (Oldham) Horsely. On June 17, 1939, she married Willard E. Goffinet and he preceded her in death.
Anna attended Cannelton High School and worked at Sears until her retirement in 1986. She was an active member of the Eastern Star/Eagles Masons and the First Christian Church in Alexandria. Anna had a passion for fishing, riding motorcycles, dancing, and traveling. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren, filling her home with their memorabilia. Her favorite event each year was the family reunion.
Survivors include her sons, Gary D. (Barbara) Goffinet of Carlisle, OH, Larry D. (Sue) Goffinet of Alexandria; daughter-in-law, Lottie Goffinet; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and longtime loving companion, John Paul Fullhart.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Clarence W. Goffinet; daughter, Brenda Joyce Withrow; grandsons, Gary David Goffinet, Brett Pierce; granddaughter, Christy Goffinet; and great-granddaughter, Fallon Pierce.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Anna’s life will begin at 11:00 am with Julie Bratton officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
