Anna Lee Biehl, 92, of rural Urbana, Indiana, died at 6:50 am, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on January 2, 1932, in Wabash, Indiana, to Earl Jacob and Anna Dean (Yeager) Karns.
Anna Lee was a 1949 graduate of Urbana High School. She married L. Max Biehl at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Urbana, on August 13, 1950. She was a member of the Salem/Bethel United Methodist Church and the Ladies Nite Out Home Ec Club. She was a farmer's wife and enjoyed making cinnamon rolls, flower gardening, and collecting ceramic birds. Anna Lee loved spending time with her family and also cooking for them.
She is survived by her husband, Max Biehl of Urbana; four children, Cheryle (Ralph) Ranck of Urbana, Diana Stephan and Jill Biehl, both of North Manchester, and Jay (Lisa) Biehl of Matthews, North Carolina; grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Stephan, Christina (Kyle) Barlow, Angela (Shannon) Wilson, Matthew (Krista) Ranck, Nicholas (Andrea) Ranck, Lydia (Shane) Ralston, Gretchen Biehl, Alex (Kirstie) Biehl, and Abby Biehl; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, Loyle and Lowell Karns, and four sisters, Anita Merrill, Earleen Ulery, Karmen Caruso, and Marian Karns.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Luke Hunt, The Rev. Dr. Kent Ulery, and Rev. Bob Clark officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Friends may call 4-8 pm Monday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is St. Jude Children's Hospital.
