Anna May Duke Gore Craig, 101 years of age, Gas City, went home to be with her Savior at 2:48 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Monday, February 13, 1922, to Orley and Ruby (Hart) Duke.
Anna May lived in Gas City for 70 plus years. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass Factory, RCA, and retired from Glass Containers in Gas City. She loved to play family games, work puzzles, win at cards and play BINGO. She loved her Sunday School class, Bible studies and enjoyed going out to eat with her grandchildren. Most of all, she was a very giving and generous lady.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo Ann Gore (Larry) Summitt of Gas City; grandchildren, Teresa Parker (Ray) Wood, Michele Parker, Angela Summitt (Brent) Mosier, Annette Summitt (Edward) White, Larry E. (Stacy) Summitt, and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Erica, Jimmy, Carolyn, Parker, Kaylin, Marc, Zachary, Nathan, Payton, Kaylee; as well as 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orley P. and Ruby E. Duke; daughter, Carolyn Sue (Gore) Parker; son, David Gore; sister, Geraldine (Duke) Gard; husbands, Fredrick D. Gore and Paul Craig; granddaughter, Kelly Sue (Parker) Randall.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Anna May's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating.
