Babe of Wabash County Receives $22,621 Grant from Lutheran Foundation

WABASH, IN – Babe of Wabash County is excited to announce that they have been awarded a $22,621 grant from the Lutheran Foundation. This funding will help continue their work supporting families in Wabash County with essential health, educational, and emotional resources.

Out of 80 grant applications—including 30 from first-time applicants—they are honored to have received the full amount of the request. This grant is a meaningful opportunity to expand services and strengthen their impact in the community.

The application journey has been one of learning and perseverance. While they were disqualified in 2023 due to a technicality, they refined the submission in 2024 and were successfully awarded the grant for 2025. This experience shows the importance of persistence in securing resources for programs.

The Lutheran Foundation’s support will allow Babe of Wabash County to enhance educational opportunities, foster positive family connections, and provide much-needed resources for local families.

“We are deeply grateful to the Lutheran Foundation for their trust in our work,” said Katey Till, Babe of Wabash County Executive Director. “This grant will make a real difference for the families we serve.”
