Benjamin Paul Corn

Benjamin Paul Corn, 74, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:10 am, Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home.  He was born on February 9, 1950, in Wabash, Indiana, to Junior Paul and Bonnie Christena (Floyd) Corn.

Ben was a 1968 graduate of Northfield High School, and attended Ball State University. He married Jackie Sebesta in Wabash on September 3, 2018. He was a firefighter and EMT for the Wabash City Fire Department, retiring after 21 years. Ben was a self employed painter and also a maintenance worker at the Wabash County Hospital. He loved old time gospel music and was a hard worker. Ben always wanted to be remembered as the fun loving,big hearted guy.  

He is survived by wife, Jackie Sebesta of Wabash, son, Jason Paul (Jozanna) Corn and two grandchildren, Jaiya Corn and Jericho Corn, all of LaFontaine, Indiana, two sisters, Becky (Steve) Bowman of Wabash, and Beverly (Trent) VanHaaften of Mount Vernon, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call 3-7 pm Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash. There will be a private family service held at a later date.

Preferred memorial is Animal Shelter of Wabash County.

Today if you look at the bright sun, it is as bright as my grandchildren's smiles, and the sky is as blue as Grandpa Ben Corn's eyes, you will know Ben is painting in Heaven.
