Beverly “Bev” Kay Bowen’s life was tragically ended on Monday, November 18, 2024. Bev was 80 years old and a lifelong resident of Peru.
Bev’s greatest loves were animals (hers and everyone else’s); John Wayne and her garden. She worked at General Tire for over 40 years before retiring.
She was born to the late Willis Kermit Bowen and Glodene (Bowyer) Bowen Hartleroad on June 17, 1944.
Bev is survived by her best friend, Betty Hunter of Peru; siblings, Sherriel (Cindy) Bowen of Peru, Kevin Bowen of Florida, and Lorretta “Rita” Godwin of Peru, and Duaine Bowen of Peru; several nieces and nephews and many “chosen” family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Grant Montgomery.
In honor of Bev’s wishes, there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, Bev’s wishes were for Memorial contributions to be made to the Cornerstone Veterinary Services Inc., 12 S. St. Rd. 13 Urbana, Indiana 46990.
