Billy R. Osborne

Billy R. Osborne, known as “Billy O” to most people, 67, of rural Wabash, Indiana, passed peacefully at 8:55 am, Monday, March 17, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on December 7, 1957, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Thomas Lee and Margie (Walters) Osborne.

Billy married Kim Fansler in Wabash on June 29, 1990. He worked at Wabash Alloys 41 years, retiring in August 2017. Billy and Kim co-owned Pizza King in Wabash for more than 15 years, and was a member of the Boilermakers Union. He was an ace mechanic and could fix anything, was an excellent artist, woodworker, and was great at anything he did. He was the most patient man and never knew a stranger. Billy enjoyed car shows, working on his 1965 GTO, and was dedicated to his family.

He is survived by his wife Kim Osborne; three sons, Christopher (Tanja) Stephens, Jared (Amy) Osborne, and Caleb (Brooke) Osborne; daughter Julia (Trenton) Roop; grandsons Elijah Stephens, Weston Lackman, Major Davidson, Maxyn Roop, Memphis Roop, and Cyrus Osborne; granddaughters, Oaklyn Osborne and Aspyn Osborne; all of Wabash County; siblings Jessie Osborne, Paul Wayne Osborne, Harold (Shelly) Osborne, Clifford (Paula) Osborne, Johnny Osborne, Joann (Danny) Grizzle, Beverly Conley, Stella Starr, Janice Fields, and Shannon (Joe) Ivy.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.  Friends may call 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, and if you have a show car you are encouraged to bring it to the visitation in honor of Billy O.
