PERU, IN- On Saturday, September 23rd, The Boomerang Sisterhood annual gathering was held at the Peru Civic Center. Heidi Wright, Director of Development for the Miami County Community Foundation, hosted the event. Voting members viewed four video presentations from the 2023 grant nominee finalists and voted on four awards in various amounts to be given to the finalists.
United Way of Miami County Weekend Buddy Bag program received $3,000. First Church of the Nazarene Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry received $2,000. Distinguished Young Women program received $1,000. Borderman Park in Converse received $1,000.
