Bruce Edward McGuire, Sr., 77, of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 12:18 am, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 23, 1946, in Boise, Idaho, to John and Violet (Lee) McGuire.
Bruce married Ruth M. Marcum in Williamson, West Virginia on December 18, 1963; she died on October 14, 2022. He worked at the Manchester Foundry. Bruce was very family oriented, he loved his grandchildren, but Ruth was the absolute love of his life. He enjoyed watching "Curse of Oak Island" with his son, Bruce.
He is survived by his son, Bruce E. (Barbie) McGuire, Jr. of North Manchester; five grandchildren, Bruce E. (Carrie Fox) McGuire, III, of Lagro, Bryce (Kaylan) McGuire of Peru, Breanna McGuire of North Manchester, Kierston (Aaron) Steiner of Wabash, and Ricky Hollingshead of Roann; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Patrick McGuire of Bolivar, Tennessee; sister, Sharon Lee of Norfolk, Virginia, and sister-in-law, Dee McGuire of Williamson, West Virginia. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Violet McGuire; two daughters, Mary Hollingshead and Krista McGuire, and brother, John "Butch" McGuire.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Friends may call from 12-1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the funeral home.
