Carla Rae (Norris) Black, 60, of Huntington, Indiana, died at 1:21 am, Friday, October 4, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on October 19, 1963, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Jess R. and Carol Lee (Noland) Cavins.
Carla was a 1982 graduate of Wabash High School. She worked at United Technologies in Huntington and also had a real estate license. Carla married Kenneth Black in Louisville, Kentucky in August 1990. She was a huge professional wrestling fanatic, and also enjoyed playing candy crush on her phone. Carla was an avid lover of Diet Pepsi and mocha cappuccino’s, but most importantly loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Black of Huntington, six children; Joshua (Lynsey Masterson) Cruz-Cavins of Huntington, Brandon “Brandy” Berryman of Indiana, and Amy (Eddie) Gatchel, Kenny (Tasha) Black, Jr., Michelle Davies, and Bob Black, all of Huntington, grandchildren; Kylie Berryman, Carlee Berryman, Peyton Berryman, Owen Jax Cruz-Cavins, Samaria Tala-Jane Morier, Alekxzander Franks, all of Huntington, Nathan Black of Urbana, Indiana, Domonic Black of Idaho, and Heather Black, Drew Black, Kayden Black, Kenny Black III, Tyler Black, Brady Black, Connor Black, and Jordon Black, all of Huntington, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, brother, Jess (Mary) Norris of Huntington, sister Barbie Butler of Wabash, sisters-in-law, Charman Noland of Peru, and Judy Cavins of Wabash, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Floyd Noland, William Denny Cavins, Roger Wayne Cavins, and Melvin Norris.
