Carol Sue Wright, 76, Marion, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Colonial Oaks Assisted Living in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, April 22, 1948, to Clarence "JR" and Irene "Louise" (Zink) Coleman.
Carol graduated from Marion High School and worked at K-Mart and Lowe's, retiring in 2014 from Lowe's. She was in the Morman faith. She had dinner every month with the K-Mart Club, vacationed with her best friend, Sheri, enjoyed puzzles, reading, and word searches. She loved Barry Manilow and had been to many of his concerts.
Survivors include her brother, Terry Coleman; sisters, Tonda (Tom) Bradford, Marie Harlan; best Friend, Sheri Casper; special niece, Tammy Sue (James) Selleck of Marion; as well as several more nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louise Coleman, Jr.; ex-husband, Wayne Wright; brother, Ricky Coleman; sister, Pamela Miller; sister-in-law, Jackie Rae Coleman; brothers-in-law, Gene Miller and Jim Harlan, Sr.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Carol's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory - Marion.
