Carolyn A. Studebaker, 82, Gas City, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on January 28, 1943, to Roy and Juanita (Colette) Atkinson. On October 20, 1961, she married Bob Studebaker.
Carolyn graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1962. She was a hairstylist for many years. She also worked at Glass Containers, Franklin Electric and as a school Bus Aid. She enjoyed camping, boating, and riding on the golf cart through the city.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Smithson of Indianapolis; son, Steven (Connie) Studebaker of Gas City; grandchildren, Amanda (Jerrad) Chenoweth of Fishers, Jessica (Kristopher) Holtzleiter of Hartford City and Brian (Christy) Smithson of Gas City; great-grandsons, Levi, Liam, Jackson and Karson; great-granddaughters, Maddison and Kinley; brother, Larry Atkinson; plus, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Studebaker; father, Roy Atkinson; mother, Juanita Colette; and brother, Louie Atkinson.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will begin at 6:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating.
