Cassandra “Sandy” Phyllis Dutton, 35, of Peru, Indiana, died at 6:28 am, Monday, March 10, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1989, in Wabash, Indiana, to Randall and Christine (Bennett) Bolen.
Sandy was a 2008 graduate of Northfield High School, earned her Associates degree from Ivy Tech, and her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana Wesleyan University. She married Zachary John Dutton in Wabash County on September 14, 2013. Sandy worked part time at Charley Creek Inn in Wabash and also was a wraparound facilitator for IPMG. She served on the board for the Christmas Spirit in Wabash. Sandy loved the Christmas season, Disney, but especially loved her son, Wyatt, and anything he did.
She is survived by her husband, Zachary John Dutton and son, Wyatt Zachary Dutton, both of Peru, parents, Randall and Christine Bolen of Lagro; grandmother, Pamela Miller of Wabash; siblings, Anthony (Karyssa) Bolen of Huntington, Brady (Katie) Bolen of Wabash, and Pamela (Josh) Jacoby of Huntington; nieces and nephews, Seth Castle, Emma Castle, Ezra Dutton, Emma Kane, Chrissy Jacoby, Bennett Bolen, Everlee Bolen, and Brielle Bolen. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don Bennett, Jr., Barbara Bolen, and Edward Bolen, Sr.; niece, Shiloh Bolen; and her aunt, Cindy Bennett.
A memorial service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash with her brother Brady Bolen officiating. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
