Catharina “Cathy” JoAnn Keller

Catharina “Cathy” JoAnn Keller, 66, Marion, passed away in her home at 6:55 pm on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, August 14, 1958, to Robert and Rose (Draper) Davis.

 

Cathy was a Mississinewa graduate of 1976 from which she leaves behind several beloved classmates. During her high school years, she enjoyed being a part of the High School Poms. After graduation, Cathy furthered her education at Marion Community School of Practical Nursing. Cathy worked for Marion Family Practice from January 1990 until February of 2023. She had a Celebration of Retirement (“Firing” as her son, Travis, lovingly referred to it as) in April 2023. Cathy loved her patients, and they loved her as well. She could not go many places without seeing a familiar face and was always giving them a big smile and warm hug. Cathy belonged to the Gas City Moose. She loved and enjoyed golf and bowling for several years. Cathy always looked forward to her yearly beach trips with her special friends, “Mean Jean” Williamson, Trish Pomeroy, and Kathy Hunt. Kelly Donahue was a treasured friend, as were many others. Cathy loved being outside working in her flower beds and loving on all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cathy is survived by her son, Travis (Amber) Dillon; daughter, Courtney Washington; sister, Teresa Mesker; aunt, Colleen Horner; and grandchildren, Kennedy (Jeremy) McNeal, Cade Leist, LaRyan Dillon, Anthony Williams, Keaghan (Asharia) Williams, Little Von, Kaylene (James) Johnson, Callie (Mason) Hale, Seth Cox, and Braylon Timmons. She had 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rose Davis; brother, Ron Davis; and grandson, Devon Dillon.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

A service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
