Catherine Melinda Roberson

Catherine Melinda Roberson, 72, passed away peacefully at home after a hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease.  She was born to Robert O. Johnson and Shirley Ann (Crabtree) Johnson-Snow on November 23, 1951.

Catherine was a graduate of Mississinewa High School and later graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with her bachelor’s in nursing.  She was married to the love of her life, Dennis Lee Roberson, for 48 years, and he survives.

Catherine loved her family and devoted most of her life to loving, caring, and encouraging them.  She enjoyed playing golf with her husband, sewing, and playing on the computer or anything technical.  She worked at Tulox Plastics for 25 years.  She went back to get her bachelor’s in nursing, graduating in 1998.  Catherine worked as an RN for 12 years, where she was able to live out her passion for taking care of others.  She was a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau.  She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church with family.  Catherine spent her final days surrounded by family, both near and virtual, singing, hugging, and listening to God’s Word.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis L. Roberson; sister, Janet L. Ng of TX; daughters, Kelly C. (Casey) Lemons of Marion and Kristina Roberson of Marion; sons, Rob Roberson of Warsaw and Brad (Lori) Roberson of Gas City; grandchildren, Kirstan Eyer, Christopher Lemons, Christian Lemons, Greenlee Eyer, Lincoln Mallison, Corey Roberson, Kyle Holt, Shelbie Holt, Blake Holt, Alex Roberson, Alex Eyer, Gabi Sellers, Elijah Roberson, and Aubrey Roberson; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to both her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Tony Johnson, and her daughter, April Mallison.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Catherine’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.  Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
