Charles E. "Charlie" Williams, 79, Fowlerton, passed away at 9:45 am on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Mason County, Kentucky, on Thursday, May 17, 1945, to Horace and Edith (Vermillion) Williams. On September 11, 1967, he married Connie Fannin.
Charlie attended Mason County High School and was the owner of Williams Auto Salvage of Fowlerton. He loved fishing and being by the river or any water; spending time with his best friends, his pet dogs, cats, even a raccoon.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Williams of Fowlerton; family, Cora Ann Fannin of Gas City, Jan (Jeff) Gunnell of KY, Hank Fannin of FL, Karen Williams of KY, Mary Gary of Marion, Russell (Lisa) Fannin of FL, Jeanie Fannin of Gas City; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by parents, Horace and Edith Williams; brothers, Shelby Williams, Wayne Williams, Windle "Grassy" Williams, James Williams, Richard 'Dick' Williams; sisters, Wilena Hughes, Betty Ross.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Charlie's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Teddy Payne officiating. Burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery.
