Charles Roy Allen

Charles Roy Allen, born on June 3, 1943, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Roy and Goldie (Allen) Allen, passed away at his home in North Manchester, Indiana, on January 12, 2025 at the age of 81.

Charles was a man who possessed a remarkable mechanical gift that led him to a fulfilling career as a maintenance worker. He dedicated many years of his professional life to Bryan before transitioning to United Technologies in North Manchester. When the plant closed, Charles traveled weekly to Zanesville, Ohio, to continue his work, returning home each weekend to be with his family. Even after the company moved operations to Mexico, he remained committed, traveling back and forth for work every two weeks until he eventually began working at Manchester Tool & Die, where he worked until he reached the age of 66. His unwavering dedication saw him balancing two or three jobs at times to ensure that his family was well taken care of.

Charles was not only known for his industrious nature but also for his gentle spirit. A homebody by nature, he was recognized for being one of the sweetest individuals, with the biggest and softest heart. He instilled in his children the importance of hard work and dedication; values that will resonate within the lives he touched.

On June 29, 1991, Charles married Jeanette K. (Howard) McClure. Together, they built a beautiful life, creating lasting memories, laughs, and adventures.
