Cindy Jane Hawkins, 65, Marion, passed away at 2:06 pm on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, August 19, 1958, to Robert "Gene" and Mary "Jane" (Polsley) Kellogg. On July 26, 1999, she married David Hawkins, who survives.
Cindy graduated from Marion High School in 1976 and was the HR Specialist with the City of Marion Utilities for over two decades. She loved her work family and retired in September of 2022. Cindy was a wonderful seamstress who could sew anything. She especially loved sewing with her "Diamond Girls". Cindy also loved gardening, canning, and camping with her family, whom she loved above everything.
Additional survivors include her mother, Mary Jane Kellogg of Marion; daughters, Stacey Hawkins of St. Cloud, MN, and Angela (DJ) Holt of Marion; sons, Brian Osborn of Marion and Matt (Shante) Hawkins of Marion; grandchildren, Tayleigh, Alex, Blaze, Gabriella, Hailey, Skylar, Jax, Victoria, Kiera, and Mia; brother, Bob (Connie) Kellogg of Marion; sister, Cheryl Kellogg of Columbus; mother-in-law, Margaret Brown of Marion; brother-in-law, James (Chris) Hawkins of Tipton; sister-in-law, Judy Gordon of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Gene Kellogg, and fathers-in-law, Mike Hawkins and Junior Brown.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Cindy's life will begin at 4:00 pm with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating.
