Claude Richard "Dick" Price, 82, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 7:58 am, Monday, June 3, 2024, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. He was born on September 2, 1941, in Laketon, Indiana, to Jack and Mary (Finkenbiner) Price.
Dick retired from the US Army, and received the Purple Heart while serving in the Vietnam War. He attended the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church. Dick was a member of the Moose Lodge, the VFW Post 286 and the American Legion Post 15, all of Wabash. He was an avid bowler and bowled in several men's leagues over the years. Dick loved animals, especially cats.
He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Woodworth of Big Rapids, Michigan, and Megan Price of Wabash; and four grandchildren, Josh Woodworth, Jessie Woodworth, Kasey Morningstar, and Gabby Woodworth. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Forrest Price and Jackie Price, and his sister, Sue Dillon.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Bill Crank officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday at the Marion National Cemetery. Friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 am Thursday, at the funeral home.
