Connie Jean Ancil, 60, Indianapolis, passed away in her home surrounded by her family at 3:50 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Indianapolis. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, August 5, 1964, to Jerry and Lois (Sirk) Alwine. On May 15, 2010, she married Brian Ancil, and he survives.
Connie graduated from Huntington North High School. She was a lifetime member of both the American Legion and the VFW. She worked at the Amvets for a number of years. She was artistic and enjoyed drawing and arts and crafts. She loved the medical field and had worked as a CNA, medical assistant and phlebotomist. She loved her pets and had a strong passion for animals in general. She put others before herself, was extremely caring and always up to serving those who needed her help. She loved the sun and being in the pool. Her grandchildren and children were her primary love. She was also an excellent bartender and could make the drink you liked. She always cared about her relationship with God.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Ancil of Indianapolis; daughters, Ashlee (Tim Newsome) Smart of Andrews, Aileen Ancil of Pleasanton, TX, Susan Ancil of Indianapolis, Amy (Robert) Martinez of College Station, TX, Alisa (Becky Miller) Ancil of Schertz, TX; granddaughters, Alexis Meade, Jocelynn Martinez; grandsons, Elijah Martinez, Zayden Arnold, Micah Martinez; brothers, Ed Alwine, Rick (Sarah) Alwine; sisters, Cindy Bullard, Teresa Alwine, Christina (Jody) Mauller, Angie Rich; and twin brother, Ron Alwine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lois Alwine; and son, Jeremy Hurlock.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Connie’s life will begin at 4:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at Marion National Cemetery.
