Delores A. (Wearly) Nestleroad, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Known fondly by her family as “Corkie”, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Weger) Foreman. Delores spent her formative years growing up in the Delaware County area and later residing in Marion, Indiana, where she would become a beloved mother and homemaker to her three children, Patrice, Mike, and Joseph.
Some of Delores’ favorite memories were of when she was a child working on the family farm alongside her mother. Her son, Joseph, said her best friends were always her sisters, Alberta, Marie, and Shirley.
Delores loved to go shopping, especially for perfume and designer purses, and being pampered while getting her hair done at the beauty salon. But most importantly, Delores’ favorite pastime was spending time with her cherished family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Delores is survived by her daughter, Patrice (Brett) Mauk of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sons, Mike (Jeannie) Wearly of Huntsville, Alabama, and Joseph (Leigh) Wearly of Hartford City, Indiana; brother, Jim Foreman; three sisters, Marie Lee, Alberta Myers, and Shirley Osborn; grandchildren, Jordan (Dylan) Mauk, Alayna Wearly, Jonathan (Kendall) Wearly, Jamie (Josh) McRae, Kerri (Adam) Bittner, and Glenn (Heather) Allen; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to both of her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her late husbands, Lanny Wearly and Cliff Nestleroad; brother; Robert “Bob” Foreman; grandson, Derek Mauk; and three brothers-in-law, Larry Lee, Kirby Myers, and Mike Osborn.
A public visitation for Delores will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
Internment will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
