Dian Wagner, 85, of Peru, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Dukes Memorial Hospital.
She was born on January 30, 1939, in Peru, Indiana to Herman and Betty (Killian) Hoeppner. In July of 1959 she married Raymond Kaufman, who preceded her in death. And then she remarried to Gus James Wagner on February 14, 1964 - he too preceded her in death.
She loved spending time with her family, grand-kids, and great grandkids. In her younger days she enjoyed being in the kitchen making her famous sugar cookies. In her later years she would spend her time watching the game show network while crocheting. She would crochet afghans and donate them to area nursing homes.
She is survived by her children: Kris (Rob) Thiel of Rensselaer, Jim (Linda) Kaufman of Peru, Steve (Lisa) Wagner of Peru, Tom (Suzy) Wagner of Peru, Bridget (Scott) Butler of Peru and a daughter in law Carolyn Rush (Rick), as well as 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her 4-legged companion, Zeke.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister, and a son, Dan Kaufman.
There will be no public service.
