Diana Kay Kirby, 77, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:21 pm, Friday, February 14, 2025, at Parkview Health Randallia in Fort Wayne. She was born on April 21, 1947, in Wabash, Indiana, to Cecil M. and Harriet E. (Winer) Haupt.
Diana was a 1965 graduate of Wabash High School. She worked at True Value Hardware in Wabash for several years. Diana married James William Kirby, Jr. in Wabash on June 3, 1967; he died February 3, 2007. She was a member of the Wabash Christian Church. Diana enjoyed reading and doing cross stitch.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa L. (Stacy) Gibson and Lori A. Kirby, both of Wabash, two grandchildren, Christopher (Natalie) Gibson and Brittney (Denny Harlan) Gibson, both of Wabash, four great-grandchildren, Mason Gibson, Dawson Gibson, Haddie Gibson, and Axton Harlan, and sister, Shirley (Lawrence) Kessler of Lagro, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, great-granddaughter, Ava Gibson, and brother, Larry Stevens.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Haley Asberry officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:00 – 2:00 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
