Diana Kay Swan Dutton, 82, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away on November 24, 2024, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana, on Friday, December 5, 1941, to Kenneth and Mary (Strahle) Swan.
Diana graduated from Union Township High School in Modoc, Indiana. She also attended Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, Illinois. She worked several years at General Foods in Kankakee then, when she moved back to Indiana, she worked in home health care in Wabash.
Diana enjoyed playing the piano, taking long walks, and playing with her dogs. She spent the last eight years at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center and was well cared for. Because of an emergency situation at Rolling Meadows, Diana spent the last few days of her life at Wesleyan Health Care Center. God then called her home.
Diana is survived by a daughter, Lisa Magana of San Diego, CA; grandson, Dennis Sweeney of Joliet, IL; and brother, Kenneth D. (Sarah) Swan of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Kenneth C. Swan; husband, Herman Dutton; daughter, Monica Ovale; younger brother, Thomas D. Swan; and sister, Dixie Craig.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Diana’s life will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Mark Hinshaw and Pastor Cory Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Willard Cemetery in Berne, Indiana, at Mount Hope Church of the Nazarene.
