Donna Lou (Tate) Williams

    Donna Lou (Tate) Williams, 86 years old, of Peru, passed away at Blair Ridge Memory Care Unit, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 1:42PM.  She was born in Kokomo, Indiana on July 28, 1938, the daughter of Afton and Beatrice Tate.  She married Jerry S. Williams on December 25, 1955, and he proceeded her in death on January 28, 2008.

Donna attended Peru High School.  She loved working in her flowers and enjoyed watching the birds.  She participated in the church choir and performed in a ladies singing group.  She was active in bible study and taught vacation bible school along with children’s Sunday school.  She volunteered at the Salvation Army for several years.  But her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her 2 daughters Rhonda (Bob) Estelle, Nadine (Jeff) Aspinwall, a son who proceeded her in death, Jerry Stan Wiliams, Jr. (Lisa).

Grandchildren Kyle (Jaclyn) Williams, Alec (McKenna) Williams, Melissa LeMay-Sollars, Ashley LeMay (TJ), Kevin Clupper, Nickolas (Katie) Aspinwall, Rachel (Travis) Neff, Erik (Sabrina) Aspinwall 15 great-grandchildren, Amelia, Kip, Lawson, Shelby, Kolton, Jordan, Elijah, Lhuna, Knlaus, Knox, Trevor, Wesley, Hadlee, Payton, Kallyon, Decklyn and Oakley.

We would like to thank the staff at Blair Ridge Retirement Community for their loving care and Guardian Angel Hospice for their support and guidance through her journey.  Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Monday, November 18th, 2024, at Community Church of Mexico, 4088 North Carroll Street, Mexico, Indiana with Pastor Jake Rickard and Chaplain Larry Phillips- Chaplain for Guardian Angel Hospice.  Family and Friends will gather from 10:00AM to noon. Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, we ask for the memorial contributions to go to the Community Church of Mexico or the Memory Care Unit at Blair Ridge Retirement Community.
