Dr. Lindsay Culver serves as Honored Speaker at MSDWC Academic Recognition Banquet

Wabash, IN- MSD of Wabash County held the 35th Annual Academic Recognition Banquet on March 4, 2024, in the Honeywell Center Legacy Hall. Northfield and Southwood seniors with an ‘A’ accumulative grade point average across all four years of high school receive an invitation to this annual banquet, honoring their academic success.

The following students were recognized for their academic excellence:

(Southwood) Emma Adams, Ashley Benavidez-Arellano, Randall Boone, Carrie Collins, Liliauna Combs, Madis-Anne Culver, Derek “Ryan” Deeter, Samantha Gusmano, Abigail Guyer, Ethan Lochard, Libee Price, Kendall Sarll, Micah Smith, Shyanne Stout, Noah Veals, Carley Whitesel, and Caleb Wyatt.

(Northfield) Isaiah Beall, Trinity Bever, Brihanna Boocher, Ryan Brunett, Ava Copeland, Gabriel Haupert, Reid Haupert, Connor Herring, Hannah Holmes, Eden Hoover, Anna Kissel, Jaycie Krom, Alexis Leffel, Josephine Lynn, Madeline Moore, Emma Napier, John Nesler, Aliana Schnelker, Landon Shoue, Benjamin Snyder, Turner Stephens, Jonathon Treska, Kyle Yeiser, and Mara Zolman.

A distinguished MSDWC alumni is asked to speak at the banquet each year. This year’s speaker was Dr. Lindsay Culver, a 1999 Northfield graduate. Following graduation from Northfield, Dr. Culver earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. She now works at Midwest Eye Consultants, serving patients in Wabash and Marion.

Dr. Culver and her husband, Nathan, reside in Wabash and have two daughters. Dr. Culver and her family are active members of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. They have also enjoyed raising two puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind, an organization that arranges the training of service dogs for those who are visually impaired. Dr. Culver has served on the BCU Board of Directors since 2015.

Dr. Culver has remained engaged and active in her community, having served on several local boards such as Kiwanis, Wabash County Chamber of Commerce, and Wabash Valley Dance Theater.
