Edith Elaine “Edi” Frey, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 8:35 pm, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at her home. She was born on September 10, 1951, in Spokane, Washington, to Oral Archie “O.A.” and Aileen Bernice (Pense) Luney.
Edi was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln, California. She married Larry W. Frey in Roann, Indiana on May 26, 1979. Edi retired from Wabash County Hospital, where she worked as an aide and in housekeeping, and also worked as an aide at Wabash Health Care Center. She attended Christian Heritage Church in Wabash. Edi enjoyed shopping, getting her nails done, collecting fairies, lighthouses, Betty Boop, and Harley Davidson memorabilia, listening to Christian music, and loved watching football, especially the Colts, Packers, and Notre Dame.
She is survived by her husband, Larry W. Frey of Wabash; two children, Tina Louise Frey of Wabash, and John William (George) Mieger of Millville, California; and two grandchildren, Sabrina Frey and Aaron Frey-Keplinger, both of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 13, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
