Elmer Ray "Elmo" Cornett, 56, of Kokomo, Indiana, died at 2:16 am, Friday, June 14, 2024, at his daughter's home. He was born on September 15, 1967, in Peru, Indiana, to Bobby Gene Sr. and Alice Jean (Toffer) Cornett.
Elmo worked at Progress Rail in Peru, Indiana. He attended the Abundant Life Church in Kokomo. Elmo enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, baseball games, and computer games. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by three children, Andrew (Carmen) Cornett of Peru, Indiana, Marlena (Brandon) DeWitt and Katie (Andrew Kuepper) Cornett, both of Kokomo; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his brother, Terry Cornett of Jackson, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Bobby Cornett, Jr. and Doyle Cornett.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, June 21, 2024 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery, Somerset. Family will receive friends from 10-11 am Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
