Garnet J. Seacott, 85, of Marion, passed away at 10:25 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in her home. She was born in Windfall, Indiana, on Sunday, September 3, 1939, to Lawrence and Goldie (Grover) Browning. She was married to Everett D. Seacott, who preceded her in death on October 8, 1980.
Garnet attended Morton Memorial High School and worked 40 years at Foster-Forbes. She loved her pets, and she loved shopping at any Walmart, where you would find her dancing in the aisles. She also loved to sunbathe, as well as decorate for Christmas both inside and outside of the house.
Survivors include her nieces, Patty S. Jack of Sweetser, Kimberly Sue (Jeff) Shane of Columbus, and Teresa L. (Antonio) Cooper of Jonesboro; nephew, Mark Jack of Marion; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, Evan (Raven), Marilyn, Chon, Tanner, Sophia, Thomas, Alice, McKenna, Shayleen, Cadynce, Ella, Hazel, Navaeh, Lainley, Jonathan, Kayla, Bryan, Bradley, Annalise, Kyle, Kaylynn, Tammy, Crystal, Valerie, Darlene, Mary Ann, Amanda, and Michael; and pets, Sam, Goldie, Midnight, Renee, Renny, Baby, Baron, Mollie, Rusty, Sissy, Suzie, and Buttons.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leroy Browning, George Browning, Harley Browning, Harry Browning, Johnny Browning, and Phillip Browning; sisters, Maxine Browning, Carolyn Browning, Anna Mae Whether, Beulah Piercefield, and Marilyn Browning Jack; niece, Marla K. Turner; great-niece, Deanna Oliver; and great-nephew, Andrew J. Jack.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
A graveside service to celebrate Garnet's life will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall, Indiana, at 2:00 pm. Pastor Dan Van Cise will be officiating.
