George Theodore Coon, Jr., 72, of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 2:20 pm, Monday, May 13, 2024, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. He was born on January 23, 1952, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to George Theodore "Ted" and Fran (Underwood) Coon.
George worked at 5 Hour Energy in Wabash and also worked at Heckman Bindery in North Manchester. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and bicycles.
He is survived by two children, Gregory (Michelle) Coon of North Manchester, and Heather (Jason) Lockamy of Buchanan, Michigan; five grandchildren, Caleb Walker and Nathan Walker, both of Wabash, Indiana, Justin Lockamy, Dylan Lockamy, and Caden Lockamy, all of Buchanan; and his aunt, Carolyn Crist of North Manchester. He was preceded in death by his parents.
