MIAMI COUNTY, IN- On November 28, the Miami County Community Foundation’s Annual Giving Tuesday Campaign culminated with a brunch to celebrate the generosity of the community.
Community member donations neared $60,000 and combined with close to $45,000 from Lilly Endowment match funds, the Giving Tuesday total contribution was over $100,000 for the Miami County Community Foundation! All donations will be put back into the community through grants and scholarships in alignment with the foundation’s mission to improve the quality of life in Miami County now and forever.
Giving Tuesday, always held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, brings the generosity of people all around the world together to make real change, and year after year, Miami County exceeds the day’s sentiment.
“Thank you everyone that stopped by the Riverview Event Center for Giving Tuesday. Every gift large and small makes an incredible impact our community, providing support for scholarships to preschool students, advocacy for Senior Citizens, Christmas to families that are struggling with the rising cost of living, and many other worthwhile causes in Miami county,” said MCCF Director of Development Heidi Wright. “We are humbled by the generosity of the many members of our community that support Miami County nonprofits with their financial gifts.”
