Grace M. Borders Hannah

Grace M. Borders Hannah, 86, Marion, passed away at 2:20 am on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, August 26, 1937, to Harry and Edna (Bowman) Messler.  On December 22, 1956, she married Rodger Borders and he passed on October 20, 1999. On July 11, 2000, she married Roger Hannah and he survives.  

Grace worked as a supervisor for 13 years with K-Mart. She loved Elvis, playing cards, BINGO, and bowling.  She loved going to the casino, reading horror novels, and watching Stephen King horror movies. She loved cooking and everyone was fed for breakfast. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  

Survivors include her husband, Roger Hannah of Marion; daughter, Valorie (Timothy) Thorpe of Fishers; son, Rodger (Barbara) Borders, II, of Indianapolis, son, Cole "Drew" (Kala) Borders of Longs, SC, and daughter, Denise (George) Swain of Marion; grandchildren, Katie (Phil) Lee, Kayla (Matt) Gardner, Kristina (Brandon) Meyer, Rodger (Patricia) Borders III, Jessica Borders, Brent (Shelda) Borders, Joshua (Luzette) Borders, Cody Borders, Jessica (Anita) Counce, Emily O'Neil, Megan (James) Belton, Brandon Swain, and Tina (Greg) Meyers; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Harry (Sherry) Messler; sister, Evelyn  Pendley; and brother-in-law, Rick Hatton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Rodger L. Borders; three brothers, Richard (Jeanette) Messler, Jack Davis, and Earl Davis; and sisters, Connie Hatton and Louise Kowolski.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Grace's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Brad Grubb officiating.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory - Marion.
