Grace Meyer, 92, Marion, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in her home. She was born in Ripley County, Indiana, on February 1, 1932, to John and Cora (Mullins) Blackburn. She was married to her loving husband, Floyd Eugene Meyer, who preceded her in death.   Grace graduated from Marion High School and ran a daycare in her home. She became a real estate broker and Floyd and Grace opened Meyer and Meyer Real Estate in the early 1980s. They were also residential real estate appraisers. She served as director and state director of the Marion Area Board of Realtors. She was a devoted member of First Christian Church and taught Sunday school to adults and children for many years. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, was an avid reader of Christian fiction, and was an excellent pie baker. Survivors include her daughters, Patti (Larry) Garrett of Hartford City and Susan (Kevin) Angstmann of Marion; daughter-in-law, Jo Meyer of Marion; grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Meyer, Sr., Lindsay Meyer, Catherine (John) Brandon, Carin (Todd) Sherman, Angela (Maurico Chavez) Angstmann, Laura Angstmann, and Julia (Grant Fore) Angstmann; and great-grandchildren, Scott, Jr. (Corinne), Dylan (Tori Hinshaw), Harley, Camaro, Archer, Beckett, Marlowe, Camden, Jenasis, Journee, and Jacolby. She was also preceded in death by her father, John Wesley Blackburn; mother, Cora Alice Blackburn; son, Paul E. Meyer; brothers, Harvey Blackburn, Joe Blackburn, Walt Blackburn, Claude Blackburn, Howard Blackburn, and Duke Blackburn; and sisters, Pauline Vetor, Goldie Purtee, and Martha Stagner. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at First Christian Church, 1970 N. Wabash Rd., Marion, IN. On Friday, November 22, 2024, a service to celebrate Grace's life will begin at 11:00 am, preceded by an additional hour of visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Rev. Haley Asberry will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent in care of First Christian Church for their Samaritan’s Purse initiative and Kendall School Fund. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Suite Living who lovingly helped her the past several years along with her Stillwater Hospice team.
