Harlow Bascomb Stephenson, 71, of Roann, Indiana, died at 12:45 pm, Friday, December 27, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 18, 1953, in Laurel, Maryland, to Donald L. Stephenson and Nancy L. (Thorpe) Stamm.
Harlow married Alice E. Reynolds in Beltsville, Maryland on March 28, 1985. He was a US Air Force veteran stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Harlow worked at Lobdell Emery in Akron, Indiana, Alfe Heat Treating, Tri-Corp in Kosciusko County, and most recently Wabash Magnetics. He was a member of Roann United Methodist Church. Harlow was a lifelong tinkerer earning him the nickname “Buster” from breaking down electronics and machines.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Stephenson of Roann, two children; Adam Stephenson of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Carmen (Steve) Dygert of Umatilla, Florida, two stepchildren; Corrie Reynolds of Michigantown, Indiana, and Carrie (Matt) Rebholz of Wabash, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother, Donald L. Stepehenson of Maryland, and two sisters; Bessie Mae (David) Pippenger of Maryland, and Bonnie L. Doornbos of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ivan Merrill.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service Roann Chapel, 335 S. Chippewa Rd., Roann. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call Sunday, January 5, 2025, 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
