Harold V. Booth

Harold V. Booth, 78, of Wabash, Indiana, died Monday, February 17, 2025, at his home.  He was born on July 31, 1946, in Wayland, Kentucky, to William Booth and Thelma Faye (Bowling) Lowe.

Harold married Marcella Jean Vires in Wabash on March 25, 1968; she died April 8, 2021. He was a US Army veteran serving in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Harold retired from GDX in Wabash in 2005 after several years. He was a member of the Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church. Harold enjoyed playing cards with his family, watching Western movies and was an Indiana University fan. He was beloved by his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two grandchildren, Chandler (Lacey) Murphy and MaKayla (Jayson Hopkins) Murphy, both of Wabash; three great-grandchildren, Oliver and Ivory Murphy and Evelyn Hopkins, all of Wabash; brothers and sisters, Larry (Annie) Booth of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mickey Hively and Bennie Hively, both of Warsaw, Betty Louise (Brian) Owens of Argos, Indiana, and Cindy Hively of New Haven, Indiana.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina Murphy, and two sisters, Donna Johnson and Sue Hoppus.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, February 21, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Terry Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.  Friends may call 9:30 – 10:30 am Friday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church.
