Harriett F. Moore

Harriett F. Moore, 97 of Peru passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. Born July 2, 1927 in Miami County, Harriett was the daughter of the late Daniel and Bulah (Kester) Landgrave. She married William Moore who preceded her in death on April 6,1985. Harriett formerly worked for Memcor and was a cafeteria worker for Peru Schools. She also sold Avon for several years. Harriett was a member of a women’s entertaining group known as the “Flappers.” Surviving are her sons, Gary (Susan) Moore, Robin (Paula) Moore, and Scott Moore all of Peru, Indiana. Nine grandchildren, Jennifer Patsel, Jessica (Cory) Satlow, Heather Moore, Christopher Moore (Deceased), Dominique (Tom) Scheiter, Michael (Lacy) Moore, Brittany (Derek) Haynes, Ryan Finnicle, and Stephen Finnicle. Fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Harriett was preceded in death by five brothers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and time spent with her friends at Eastwood Place. She loved playing cards and bingo! Services will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, on Saturday, September 14. Pastor Dan Keaton will be officiating. Visitation from 11am to 12pm with the funeral service at noon. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Pointe Community Church, 108 East Spring Street, Peru, Indiana 46970. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
