Harry Richard Gochenour

Harry Richard Gochenour, 88, Marion, passed away at 8:13 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Peru, Indiana, on Saturday, April 11, 1936, to Elmer and Bessie Gochenour.  In 1976, he married Judith “Judy” Pennick in Covington, Kentucky, and she survives.

He worked at a canning factory and as a taxi driver for many years. Harry enjoyed traveling, working on his cars, and watching old western movies of John Wayne.  He was a quiet and faithful man who was content to live a simple life.

Survivors include his wife, Judith “Judy” Gochenour of Marion; daughters, Jennifer Gochenour of Kokomo, Priscilla (Jesse Harmon) Gochenour Harmon of Kokomo, and Patricia Gochenour of Michigan; grandchildren, Tylor (Mariah), Devin, Micky, Scout, Thaniel, Ashtin, and Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Remington, Rory, Melanie, and Riah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Elmer; and great-granddaughter, Camilla Jayne.

A graveside service to celebrate Harry’s life will begin at 11:30 am on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.  Pastor Jeremy Moore will be officiating.
