Helen N. Kimery, 76, of Marion, passed away at 12:51 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Marion Health. She was born in Pippa Passes, Kentucky, on Sunday, August 1, 1948, to Fred and Mary (Owens) Sparkman. On May 6, 1977, she married Charles Kimery.
Helen graduated from Knott County High School and worked for many years with Square D, retiring in 2004. She was a member of Victory Freewill Baptist Church. Helen loved cooking and spending time with people, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Kimery of Marion; sons, Scott Sexton of Marion and Jason (Trindy) Kimery of Fairmount; grandchildren, Logan Kimery, Savannah Kimery, and Bentley Kimery; sisters, Barbara (Edward) Hall and Sarah Fouts; and brother, Keith (Tammy) Sparkman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Sparkman; brother, Dwayne Sparkman; and sisters, Lou Hurt and Rose Holliday.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Helen’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Matthew Castle officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
