Henrietta Powell, 80, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:25 pm, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1943, in Cawood, Kentucky, to Henry Edd and Bertha Mae (Vaughn) Osborne, and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Emerson and Stella Hurst.
Henrietta attended Hall High School in Harlan, Kentucky. She married John C. Powell in Peru, Indiana on August 20, 1982; he died March 17, 2020. Henrietta was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wabash Church of God Worship Center. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing Mahjong, girls day out, coloring, spending time with her family, and agitating her son-in-law Rick.
She is survived by four children, Judy (Rick) Morgan of Wabash, Ronald (Teresa) Roseberry of Davenport, Florida, Pamela (Tom) Haneline and Amanda (Neil) Clifton, both of Wabash; honorary daughter, Tammy Duncan of Wabash; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and her brother, Charles (Ann) Osborne of Wabash. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Steven Roseberry and Anthony Roseberry, grandson, Daniel Morgan, and her sister, Agatha White.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Charles Osborne and Rev. Marshall Staten officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
