She was born in Rigdon, Indiana, on Monday, November 8, 1943, to Richard and Chloie (Street) Bruner. On November 12, 1977, she married Ronald J. Dailey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verna was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life. She had a love for gardening, cooking, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family. Her garden was a special place where she enjoyed watching things grow and sharing the beauty of her hard work with others. She also loved being in the kitchen, preparing meals and special dishes for her family. Her cooking was one of the many ways she showed her love, and family gatherings around her table created memories that will be treasured for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verna dedicated many years of her life to serving her community through her work at the County Auditor\u2019s Office, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. She was known for her dedication, kindness, and commitment to her work. Above all, Verna was devoted to her family. She treasured every moment spent with them and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. Her love, wisdom, strength, and caring nature will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by a loving family and many friends who will remember her for the warmth she brought into their lives. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on through the family she loved, the meals she prepared, the gardens she tended, and the countless memories she created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Survivors include her husband, Ronald J. Dailey of Fairmount; son, Ronald J. (Lorel) Dailey of McHenry, IL; granddaughter, Alyssa Ann (Von) Rogers of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Nancy (Bill) Carpenter of Winter Haven, FL; and nieces, nephews and other extended family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Chloie Bruner; three sisters, Louise (Mark) Marine, Judith (Don) Simpson, and May Irene Bruner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral &amp; Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Verna&#8217;s life will begin at 5:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or Cancer Services of Grant Co. 304 S.
