Investigation leads to arrest in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, IN- In December 2024, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Marion Police (Indiana), opened an investigation after receiving information about a possible sex offender relocating into the community. Through investigative efforts, it was discovered that Jason Fitch, a wanted fugitive, had been impersonating a registered sex offender, Khyle Judge, to avoid arrest on multiple outstanding warrants in Indiana.

It was reported to the Grant County Sex Offender Registry that Khyle Judge, a registered sex offender from Michigan who has warrants for his arrest in Michigan, may have been residing at a home in Marion, Indiana, without properly registering. Further investigation uncovered a case of identity deception, revealing that the individual claiming to be Judge was actually Jason Fitch, a wanted fugitive in Indiana.

Jason Fitch (WANTED in Indiana for multiple offenses):

Theft – Allen County, IN
Non-Support of a Dependent Child – Steuben County, IN
Domestic Battery – Steuben County, IN
Multiple Failure to Appear Warrants – Gas City Court, Marion City Court

As a result of the investigation, a felony warrant for Identity Deception has been requested for Jason Fitch. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is actively working to locate Jason Fitch and urges the public to report any sightings or information about his whereabouts.
