Jack Andrew Thomas, 65, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 5:48 pm, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 6, 1959, in Wabash, Indiana, to Andrew Jackson and Peggy Joan (Moore) Thomas.
Jack was a 1977 graduate of Wabash High School, and received his bachelor degree from South East Missouri State. He married Erin Proctor at the Wabash Christian Church on February 13, 2009. He owned and operated Oswalt-Thomas in Wabash since 1993. Jack was an active member of the Wabash Christian Church, where he served as trustee and deacon. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, and served as a Spelling Bee judge several years. He also was a former member of the Wabash City Traffic Commission. Jack was also an avid golfer and participated in the Wabash Community Service Basketball league.
He is survived by his wife, Erin Thomas of Wabash, four children; Kelsie (Cooper) Thomas-Bostwick, Lyndsie (Reid) Hobbs, Ayden (Summer) Kocher, and Ethan Kocher, all of Wabash, two grandchildren; Lacie Thomas and Tucker Bostwick, both of Wabash, three sisters; Nancy (Ron) Orman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jill (Don) Cox of Tampa, Florida, and Tracy (Matt) Kocks of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Wabash Christian Church, 110 W. Hill Street, Wabash, with Rev. Ron Zorn officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash.
